There are many aspects of my life that I am passionate about; First, teaching children about the environment and using the natural environment as a classroom. Second, giving children skills to become effective learners. I don't want to 'teach' children but to inspire, captivate passion and interests in children to encourage learning. Thirdly, I really like to sketch and paint, and fourth and most importantly my favourite passion of all, is the love of my beautiful little boy.
Socotra is a small Yemeni archipelago of four islands and islets in the Indian Ocean off the coast of the Horn of Africa, about 350 kilometers south of the Arabian peninsula.(Travel-to 2008).
Socotra is one of the most isolated landforms on Earth of continental origin.
The archipelago features narrow coastal plains, a limestone plateau with caves, and mountains which rise to 1,525 meters above sea level.
Like the Galapagos Islands, this island is teeming with 700 extremely rare species of flora and fauna, a full 1/3 of which are endemic, i.e. found nowhere else on Earth
